VTG Michael Graves Modern Postmodern Large Maple Wood Board Chess Checkers Set

Postmodern vintage Michael Graves modern style large board chess and checkers set. Makes a fun addition to any modern or mid century modern decor. Two tone maple wood and dark blue velvet flocked box serves as self-storage for the playing pieces, with the cover as the playing surface. Complete set, with all chess and checkers pieces present and accounted for. Composition / resin playing pieces, with "Graves" embossed felt bottoms. The two kings are each missing a single crown point--fairly common with these sets (see photo). The board is in remarkably good condition--see photos for minor imperfections (some felt missing on the bottom, a few blemishes to the wood--overall VERY good, clean condition). The playing surface measures 14 inches square, and the overall size measures about 16.5 inches square, 2.75 inches tall. The king stands 2.75 inches tall, and pawns about 1 inch.
